Yield — Terms & Privacy

Version 2026-07-05

This page covers what is specific to Yield, the profit-analytics app. It sits on top of the terms and privacy notice common to every Keelhelm app; read them together.

Part of Keelhelm. Yield is a Keelhelm app. Using it means these Yield terms plus the common Terms of Service for Keelhelm Shopify Apps and Privacy Policy for Keelhelm Shopify Apps, and on top of those the company-wide Keelhelm policies. Where this page differs, it controls for Yield. The full combined text is in Yield's complete policy.

What Yield reads and does

Yield requests read access to your orders (including full order history), refunds, products, and customers to compute deterministic net profit — revenue minus cost of goods, ads, shipping, fees, and app costs. It reads order history only to calculate and reconcile these figures; it does not request permission to write to your store.

Ad-account connections

To include ad spend in profit, you can connect advertising accounts (such as Meta, Google, or TikTok). When you do, Yield stores the access token you authorize, uses it with read-only scope to pull your own spend figures, and nothing more. You can disconnect an ad account at any time. Yield does not install an advertising pixel or tracking script on your storefront.

How long history is kept

The amount of order history Yield retains follows your plan's history depth (for example, a shorter rolling window on the free and entry plans, and longer or full history on higher plans). Dashboards read from pre-aggregated rollups; the exact windows are on the pricing page.

Plans

Yield offers Free, Starter, Growth, and Unlimited plans, billed through Shopify (monthly, or annually at a discount). Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.

Data retention and deletion

Synced data, rollups, and connected-account tokens are kept while Yield is installed and are deleted or anonymized on uninstall and on Shopify's customers/redact and shop/redact requests, as described in the common privacy notice.

Keelhelm company policies

Yield is operated by Keelhelm. Beyond this page, the common app terms and app privacy notice apply, and so do the company-wide Terms, Acceptable Use, Privacy, and Copyright / DMCA policies, incorporated by reference.
